what happened to our page counters?

It used to be easy to arrive at the newest post....now we have to scroll throgh the entire littany of old postings to get to the latest one....unless I am missing something? Hope someone from TA is listening here! This appears to have changed in just the past two days or so.

thanks elliemae, i wanted to say also that it is completely stupid to take off the page counters. now it is boring to look at posts, and sometimes i want to read the last answers, but when i see 70 or 100 answers, i dont do it. so if tripadvisor wants the people to participate and be as active as before, it would be a good idea to change this...

I%26#39;m in absolute agreement, I spend long enough as it is on these forums everyday ( I participate in 5), if it takes me longer to find new posts on the subjects I%26#39;m involved with my husband will never see me, lol.

Hear hear! elliemae, alexth82 and Helking. I for one have emailed forumsupport@tripadvisor.com to enquire whether the page counters will be returning soon.

After all, the very lengthy threads develop because many people are interested in that topic - yet these have become too cumbersome to catch up on!

The search function was a great improvement. But we really neeeeeeeeeeeeed the page counter. Pretty please with sugar on it, bring the counter back.

I%26#39;ve just experienced some of the difficulties of copying and pasting into these posts. That email I used was %26#39;forumsupportATtripadvisor.com%26#39;, so to speak...

AAAGGHHH!, I give up - this site is too clever to let me paste in the TA forum support address. However you are all no doubt clever enough to find it!

We all might have top just %26quot;respond%26quot; and type in 1 letter, this way we can look at the last post then go back instead of through all the posts we have read already. (not the best way till hopefully they change it back)
