Okay, so I have been persuaded to stay 7 days instead of 4. However, that means I might have to stay in a hostel to be able to stretch my budget. Any suggestions?
Right now I have reservations for Hotel Lyon Mulhouse, which I%26#39;ve read good things about. Urg, now I am reconsidering for the sake of the little money I have to stay at a hostel. Or do a few days at Lyon Mulhouse and the rest at a hostel. Any suggestions would be very helpful and greatly appreciated.
merci.

Hi Cedre - after spending only 3 nights in Paris, which was far too short, I%26#39;d recommend that if you%26#39;re having to stick to a budget, then get your accommodation as cheaply as possible. You%26#39;re only going to sleep there, so I%26#39;d stay in the hostel for the week and leave as much money as you can for getting around and shopping.

Thanks Stur. I think you are right...more money for shopping is much better. I am just a little afraid of hostels, as i am not that young anymore...and i know there can be some really dirty ones out there.
C%26#39;mon rest of Paris Forum....don%26#39;t let my spelling mistake of Good to God keep you away ;)

Not obliged to go to hostel...Theare are very cheap hotels too..Have a look at:
Hotel Sainte Marie, http://www.hotelsaintemarie.com
Hotel Sofia, http://www.hsofia.com
Hotel Regent Montmartre, http://www.hotelregent-montmartre.com
Maybe you will find something good for you....
These hotels are very clean so that%26#39;s OK!

Although i%26#39;ve never actually stayed there%26#39;s one round the corner from where I live, it%26#39;s on %26#39;rue Vitruve%26#39; in the 20th look it up on this site http://www.fuaj.org/
there seem to be plenty of takers and it%26#39;s in a cheap part of town for super markets food etc. I know it looks kinda far away but by metro you%26#39;re only 15/20 mins from Republique, half an hour from Opera. There%26#39;s also a bus via Bastille to the Louvre.
