The Pope

With the pope%26#39;s health in question, can we expect large crowds in the churches this week? We are leaving tomorrow, and just wondering...

I would expect so. There may be special masses. I%26#39;m not saying that based on any info. I have about Paris, just saying it as a Catholic. I think it will be that way no matter where you go, including Atlanta.

I just saw a news clip of a prayer service for the Pope being held in Notre Dame in Paris and there was quite a crowd. This was a special service and I imagine most of the worshipers left afterward but it%26#39;s a fair bet that there will be more people than usual in most Roman Catholic churches, praying for either this Pope or the next, all over the world for a time.

France often called herserf La fille ainee de l eglise. Meaning that she is the Church oldest daughter. So yes there will be for sure extra services in all the Churches. It will be a very unique and special time you are luck. Bon voyage.

yeah i%26#39;m looking forward to maybe going to a mass while there. We%26#39;re not catholic, but are christians, and it would be quite an experience!

I%26#39;m not sure what being Catholic, Protestant, LDS, Muslim or Buddhist, Church of the Divine Dodge Dart, et al has to do with it....but attending a worship service (which is what this magnificent pile of stone was originally intended for) at Notre Dame is certainly wothwhile--especially the %26#39;..big show..%26#39; on Sunday mornings with choir and organ.
