we will be arriving in nice at around 10.30pm,what are our travel options to cannes at that time of night.

There is a train from Nice station at 0024 arriving in Cannes at 0108. This train also stops at Nice St Augustin, which is very close to the airport, at 0030. Whether it would be wise to ask a taxi driver to do such a short trip at that time of night I leave to you to decide!

I should think a taxi all the way to Cannes would cost something like 100 euros but, should you consider this option, ask the driver to quote a price. Taxis in this area are probably the most expensive in the world.
