Can anyone let me know the best way to get from Paris to Florence? I%26#39;d prefer not to spend 24 hours on a train...
thanks.

I think you might find that the overnight train from Paris to Florence is actually the best, easiest, comfiest and cheapest way to do it. You can go to sleep and then just wake up in the center of Florence! European trains seem much more civilised than the ones in the UK, don%26#39;t know about the USA. The overnight journey is more like 12 hours, not 24 and you%26#39;ll be asleep for most of it.
You don%26#39;t say when you are going or if you want a single or return journey - all these things affect the fare - but Air France fly between the two cities. The cheap airlines (Ryan Air and Easyjet) don%26#39;t fly that route.

Yes, easyJet fly Paris Orly to Pisa. If you go that route they have this very handy 2 week calendar view for fares which means you can find the cheapest days to fly around your dates and you can do one way flights too.
If you fly with easyjet be sure to check luggage allowances and weights. They can really wrack up the costs with excess baggage fees - as people checking-in ahead of me on both RyanAir and easyJet have discovered to their cost in the past.
easyJet do have a generous hand baggage allowance though if you are travelling light and can keep within the hand baggage dimensions.
