Help! Train from Nice to Chamonix??

Hi there -

My husband and I are going to France in a couple of weeks. At one point we plan to leave Nice and take a train to Chamonix - we%26#39;ve read that it%26#39;s possible (including a couple changes of trains), but have no idea how to figure out a schedule and see if it actually works...

If anyone has any advice about this leg of the trip we would really appreciate it..

That%26#39;s my favorite site, fast, clear, and shows what kind of trains you%26#39;ll use and all the intermediate stops. You might want to break the trip up because that%26#39;s an awkward route. Maybe stay a night in Lyon or Geneva, both deserving cities (Lyon especially for the kebabs!!!). :)
