Canadians, pls advise. Is raileurope.ca an official website?

Hi. I bought my tickets for Pisa-Florence, Florence-Venice, and Prague-Vienna through the raileurope.ca because I live in Canada and I pressumed that this would be their official website here. Although our scheduled trip is still in July, the website advised that tickets could be purchased within 180 days ( 6months) of travel. And so I went ahead with the purchase. Then raileurope.ca gets back to me and says they would only be able to buy my ticket end of May because they could not purchase before 60 days of travel.

Did anybody in the US experience the same thing with the rail.europe.com website that is geared towards the US market?

Please advise!!

Hi Cassandra,

I bought my rail passes with raileurope.ca last year and it was a breeze, plus I got free shipping. They are legitimate, so you can buy your tickets through them in confidence. The 60 days of travel thing is true. It applies to buying tickets for Eurostar as well.

Hope this helps ;)

Hi J%26#39;adoreparis,

thanks for your assurance. But I%26#39;m planning to buy a Eurostar ride on a Leisure 5 category which has limited availability. If I wait till 60 days to travel date, it might be fully booked by then.

Would you be able to suggest any other website for this?

I tried the US website but they don%26#39;t have a prompt choice of Canada for delivery of ticket that was why I chose the raileurope.ca

Thanks.

I love travelling on Eurostar because it is convenient....no airports!

You can buy Eurostar tickets from their website directly at:

http://www.eurostar.com

If you%26#39;ll be departing to London from Paris, you can also buy your ticket from the SNCF website. I think you can choose to pick up your tickets at the station or print them at home. SNCF does not deliver to Canada.

Good luck!
