RER and Porte d'Orleans

I am a bit confused. Once I arrive in CDG and want to get to Porte d%26#39;Orleans which is not covered by the RER line, do I have to purchase another METRO ticket or do I just connect to the other Metro Line and continue to use the same RER ticket line?

Can anyone advice if the area of Porte d%26#39;Orleans is a recommendable area to search for a hotel?

To get to Porte d%26#39;Orleans, down at the southern fring of the city you would simply transfer to the #4 Metro ligne. If you have purchased a RER ticket, it includes onward travel on the regular Metro (a free transfer--so long as you do not leave the station).

Unless you have some overwhelming reason for wanting or needing to stay down in this section of the city, I%26#39;d suggest you look for a hotel in a more central location.

Alf,

Porte d%26#39;Orleans is not the most convenient area to stay in unless you are getting a WONDERFUL rate on a WONDERFUL hotel.
