Family places to visit in nice and surrounding area

Hi, we are travelling to Nice on sat 02.04.2005 for 4 days please could you tell me of any good family attractions places to visit in nice and surrounding areas. We are staying on the promenade des anglais are there any cheap supermarkets near by or family family restaurants on a budget!!! Many Thanks
