Hi All, today I revisited the Versailles web site at (http://www.chateauversailles.fr/) and under the menu for %26#39;Billeterie%26#39; I came across these one day inclusive passport tickets which I had not seen before. Through FNAC they cost 21,60 euros but through the Transilien SCNF web site the same thing seems to cost 21,10 euros INCLUSIVE of transport. Yet the passport bought out at Versailles (also on their web) costs 20 euros and promises exclusive access to some rooms not available on other tickets. Maybe if prepurchased at FNAC or SCNF you can speed you past the queues (lines for you Americans) too. Are these passport tickets new? Has anyone tried them? Did they help with queues? Can I really use RER trains with a ticket purchsed through SCNF?
Any advice appreciated.

Transilien SNCF is the RER. Its a bit confusing but the RATP and the SNCF run the RER together.
The SNCF mentions exclusive access to the chateau so you should be able to skip the lines. I think the SNCF ticket looks like a better deal.

Thanks MorganB, that clears up my SNCF/RER confusion!

Where can I buy this ticket?

Hi there!
I surfed the chateauversailles.fr website for the inclusive one day Versailles ticket with transport and it seems that I could only purchase said ticket ONLINE if done through FNAC shops in French Language. Am I correct?
Is there a way a non-french speaking person can buy this versailles ticket online?
Thanks.

Hmmm, don%26#39;t know about on line purchase. I thought I would get mine once there at either an SNCF ticket office or at the Tourist Office at du Caroussel du Louvre. There%26#39;s also the option of going into a FNAC.
I thought the idea posted by others of printing out the web page before I go and taking them to the ticket office to ensure I am understood correctly was excellent. I%26#39;ll have a fat wad of print outs in my bag when I depart!
