We%26#39;re hoping to get tickets to %26quot;Cendrillon%26quot; at Opera Garnier. Any suggestions which days of the week I could get the best seats? Are discount tickets only available the same day of the performance? 3 more weeks until our trip!! I%26#39;ve been reading these postings regularly to fuel the excitement!

We will be there around the same time and wanted to see that ballet at the Opera Garnier. If anyone has suggestions, we would appreciate guidance as well.

I work for a ballet company here in the US and called the PR dept. of the Opera-Ballet when I found out I was going to be there during Cendrillon. I was having difficulty purchasing off the web and asked what I could do to get tickets. I was informed, that if I%26#39;m not worried about where I sit, I should not have problem purchasing tickets the day before or day of performance at the Opera Garnier box office.
See you at the ballet!

Yes just go to the ticket office at either opera house and see what is available (both sell tickets for eithers ballets and operas). Garnier%26#39;s ticket office is to the right as you enter the building, Bastilles, plainly marked. Cendrillion has played a few seasons so I would guess there will be seats available last minute.
If you are looking for less expensive seats I would suggest you get box seats rather than the balcony in Garnier. The boxes are just glorious....moveable separate chairs, 6 to a box, all in red velvet, some with separate coat rooms and good views for as little as 10euros. The bacony seats are narrow with no leg room and while you might have a full view, quite uncomfortable.
Both houses are a great experience.
Enjoy,
Bea

thanks Bea and Jdalton51 - we%26#39;re travelling to Paris for the first time with our 7 year old daughter. She has seen the Nutcracker ballet every year, but this will be her first %26quot;real%26quot; ballet experience - and in a box seat at the Opera Garnier!! How incredible that will be!!

You%26#39;ll never go back to the Nutcracker once you experience an amazing ballet like Cinderella. Noureev%26#39;s version is breath-taking and funny and to see it at the Opera Garnier - what a treat for your little girl.
I%26#39;ll be in Paris to see it too, though I%26#39;m a bit bummed - we just did Cinderella and after being at nine performances, there weren%26#39;t anymore surprises. My only comfort is that it is the Paris Opera-Ballet performance.
Have fun!
