Carte Orange

We are arriving on Apil 11th, Monday early morning until the 17th and like many are confused at whether we should get a Paris Visite, or Carte Orange passes. We will be hitting all of the major attractions including Disney. Any advise would be appreciated.

Given the days of you visit, a weekly (Mon-thru Sun) CARTE ORANGE pass is the hands-down BEST deal. If you%26#39;ve any doubt of this, compare the costs at:

Weekly CARTE ORANGE (Zone 1-2)--------15,40 Euro

5 day PARIS VISITE (Zone 1-3)------------26,65 Euro

Weekly CARTE ORANGE (Zone 1-5)--------30,20 Euro

5 Day PARIS VISITE (Zone 1-5)------------45,70 Euro

All you need for ALL Metro and Bus transportaion within the City of Paris is a pass good for Zone 1-2. So, unless you are planning a few RER trips outside of Paris (Disneyland Paris Zone5, Versailles Zone 4, CDG Zone 5) purchase a CARTE ORANGE Zone 1-2 pass and a separate round-trip RER ticket for Disneyland Paris (A-4 ligne--12,20 Euro r.t.)

In figuring out if we should get a Paris Visite or a Carte Ornage,I should have also mentioned that we are staying in Issy Les-Moulineaux. Can anyone tell me what zone we will be in?

|||

Issy Les-Moulineaux is in Zone 2. Porte de Verailles is there, the end of Metro line ... memory fading... the one that goes down Vaugirard through the 15th. You%26#39;ll be needing the buses and possibly the RER to get around that neighborhood more than Metro.

Can you use the Carte Orange for the RER as well as the Metro and the buses?

|||

Yes. Carte Orange works on buses, RER %26amp; Metro.

Issy Les-Moulineaux is just outside of the city of Paris, down in the southw-west corner. It is still located within Zone 2. If you look at a Metro Map and follow the #12 Merto ligne to its southern terminus, it will be MAIRIE d%26#39; ISSY (average train time to Place de la Concorde 18 mins). Portions of Issy are also accessable via the RER %26#39;C%26#39; lignes from the ISSY station (still within Zone 2). So a CARTE ORANGE Zone 1-2 transportation pass will still do the trick for you.

Bear in mind that if you wanted to do a day-trip out to Chateau de Versailles on the RER C-5 train from ISSY to VERSAILLES-Rive Gauche, you would still need to purchase a separate RER ticket.
