I'm in Paris now....and need cheese help!!

I%26#39;m in Paris NOW and I need help!! Does anyone know of a place where we can get cheese that can be vacuum sealed for us to bring back to the states? And is that allowed??? I love the cheese!!!

Our personal favorite (and because it is close to our hotel) is Fromagerie 31, on Rue de Sein, just off St. Michelle, Metro=Odeon. They will vacuum pack your entire order for 2E. You must declare it, and might have to show it to an inspector, but otherwise it has been no problem for us in the past.

hiya Kel!!! Have a ball! In case you are in the market for a moisturizer, that Fragonard face cream with royal jelly is absolutely fabulous...and only $20. You just dab on a little with a wet fingertip, and your skin comes out looking and feeling like velvet. Kudos to softballmom for recommending it. Cannot be found except in Paris. Also, hope you get to try the Laduree macaroons....color me green with envy....how%26#39;s your accomodations? how was the flight? take pictures....can%26#39;t wait to hear your review! :o) El

pixfield, what i thought (and i thing kelbel also) is that i was wondering why people make all this stuff about chartier. the food was cafeteria food, i mean i ordered tomato and cuncumber salad, well i had tomato slices and cuncumber, that%26#39;s it. no oil, no vinegar, nothing. chicken with fries was ordered, it was industrial fries, with cafeteria chicken. well, i would certainly not recommand this restaurant, it%26#39;s not beautiful, the food is just ok, it%26#39;s cheap but really, you%26#39;ll find many more nicer restaurants for the same price. and about the people who complained about the somking, we were in somking are, we were 2 at the table smoking, and that%26#39;s it no one else around smoked, there were no odors...

I agree with Alex. Chartier was not anything special. The food was Ok, and I did try andouilette, but nothing to rave about. And the waiters are not rude. Ours was actually quite nice. He put my jacket on for me as we left. :-) And there was virtually no cigarette smoke. Guess we got lucky.

I meant to say that Chartier was nothing to rave about. The andouilette is definitely worth trying. Very rich and %26quot;gamey%26quot; tasting. And I DO NOT want to know what is in it!! :-)
