I%26#39;m planning to go to Paris this mid June. What kind of weather do I expect. Will it start getting hot? Can anyone tell me if I buy a Paris Visite be able to go to Chantilly? If I only use Paris Visite, are there any towns or cities near Paris that you will recommend for day trip. Is credit card commonly used for transportation and food?

Credit cards, or at least debit cards, are accepted with no problem, the local debit cards are operated by typing in your PIN altho%26#39; UK friends have had no problems using their %26#39;swipe%26#39; style credit cards.
For the temperature it can vary widly so I%26#39;d just keep checking website and forecasts in the week before your visit.
I recently got a Paris Visite for my parents, it covered zones 1 - 3 but you can get ones for all 8 zones.
With three zones you can get to the La Dfense Business Dsitrict, zone 4 covers Versailles and St Germain en Laye ... go to the Paris transport website, www. rapt.com, and check out the %26#39;Zone Map%26#39; which should be a link on the left of the English Version home page.

There are a lot of cities that can easily be reached on a day trip, either using the RER, regular trains, or the TGV. Versailles and Fontainebleau near Paris, Chartres and Giverny (Monet%26#39;s home) a bit farther away, Rouen, Reims, Dijon - even Lyon - a bit farther. That%26#39;s not a complete list but it will give you an idea, and all of these can be reached in two hours or less.
Just one little caution - not every restaurant accepts credit cards, even some quite expensive ones. (Ask me how I know this...) Most do, though, and you can use your regular bank ATM card to get cash.
Have a great trrip - and there is a good shot that in June the weather will be warm and sunny, but no guarantee. It could be cool and wet or uncomfortably hot too.
