Restaurants and music

Hi there

Visiting Paris in a couple of weeks and was wondering about music that is played in restaurants. Is it generally chart music or can anyone recommend some restaurants that play Jazz or Classical music? Don%26#39;t want anything that is too loud. We%26#39;ll be staying near to the Louvre.

I%26#39;ve actually never noticed IF any music was played in the restaurants... often you are seated so closely together (near other patrons) you might wish for some music to cover your voices!

There are places that have dinner and shows - the music doesn%26#39;t start until later, ie. 10pm or so...

I haven%26#39;t frequented any restaurants near the Louvre...I usually just look into a place, see the menu posted outside and try to figure out what I might want, then go in and ask if there is seating available... We usually stay in the outer arronds so we just pick a place or two near our hotel...
