hotels for a first time visit to paris, please help

Hi,

I am visiting paris for the first time this summer with my boyfriend and we are looking for a hotel or b%26amp;b up to 3* for our stay. From what i have read and our personal preferences, we would like to stay near the eiffel tower, champ du mars (7th) or in the latin quarter close to notre dame/seine. Any suggestions on nice/quaint hotels, fairly inexpensive but really any suggestions welcome. Need a little guidance due to too many options and having read around too much - I have read lots and lots of reviews and forum topics but am now even more confused.

Thank you x

I%26#39;ve stayed at the Port-Royal Hotel in the Latin Quarter a couple of times and I%26#39;d highly recommend it. You%26#39;ll find lots of good reviews on this site. You can get a room with a private bath but for less a room with a sink a bidet only seems very French (make sure to request that bidet - with no bathroom it makes a difference). It%26#39;s a little out of the way but the walk up the Rue de Muffetard on your way up to Notre Dame really can%26#39;t be beat. It%26#39;s small, and it%26#39;s out on the edge of the Latin Quarter so there will be walking, but it%26#39;s charming, inexpensive, well staffed and the surrounding area is very pretty.

Have a look at the Hotel Saint Dominique, in the 7th, it s a really nice and very clean hotel. Prices are afforadable. This is a newly renovated hotel. Staff is really great and the area is very safe and nice.

You can see the hotel http://www.saintdominique.com

Have a nice trip!
