Have no experience with the Kyriad in Nice but I use quite often their hotels and they are usually clean, affordable and sometimes very pleasant. The one in Nice port is nicely situated, very central, close to the Old town ,the Port, a few minutes walk to the Promenades des Anglais and I think they are quite cheap according to Nice standards.

Bit out of it if you ask me, the Port area is particularly dull come the evening. Would suggest something around the pedestrianised area. I stayed at the Rex, a small 1 star but okay and very central, and also, at the other end of the scale, Le Grimaud which was excellent. I think you can pretty well trust the reviews on the site. There is a very good interactive map of Nice at www.plan-nice.org so you can check the hotel addresses. Hope that helps.

Don%26#39;t know of the hotels you mentioned but we stayed at the Citadines Promenade apartments, they are fairly small yet clean and very reasonably priced, but the best thing about these apartments are their proximity to the Promenade du Anglais (2min walk)

True for the Citadines promenade. i am a regular there at least once a year and 2 when I can (like this year). I go in March and september and it%26#39;s a block away from the sea. 10 minutes walk to trhe stores though.
