KDKSAILS
I saw your post regarding the catacombs reopening (?)
date to pictureperfect.
Your comment about L%26#39;Orangerie is so right on.
I have been in Paris in 2000,2001,2002 and 2003
seeing reopening signs. I will be there again in
September.
Any clues about its reopening date now ?
Thanks

NO. Evidently they discovered some ancient wall during the excavation process for the new nenovation that they have decided to stabilize, preserve and display. This discovery knocked whatever schedule they may have had originally into a cocked hat. To the best of myknowldge, there has been no reopenning date scheduled. After changing the first three of four, it probably got embarrasing (and printing soon-to-be obselete notices is expensive). I%26#39;m al but positive though that there isn%26#39;t a chance in hell that it will re-open this year.

Thanks KDKSAIL. I suspected that it would not
be open, but as usual, I appreciate your information
and your literary style.

Somebody said it%26#39;s exhibits mostly moved to the Marmotten. If so, how worthwhile is it, assuming you have no need to revisit the Marm%26#39;s normal exhibits? Is the main value of LOrangerie the big wall painting, which is immovable?
