How to go from CHARLES DE GAULLE to hotel

We come from Hong Kong. We can speak English only. We have 5 people, 2 seniors, one child and one couple. This is our first time to Paris.

Please be kind to teach us which is the cheapest and most efficient way going from CHARLES DE GAULLE to hotel in 75002 area. We shall arrive on Sunday at end of June.

For 5 passengers, it would be easiest to reserve a shuttle from www.parishuttle.com or www.bee-shuttle.com

A taxi-minivan at the airport would be good, if they can take 5 people.

The RER and metro system is cheapest but definitely not easiest, and I don%26#39;t recommend it for first-time visitors, not with children, bags, and seniors.

Is your hotel by the Opera house? There is a bus called the Roissy bus that goes from the airport to the Opera house. It costs 8 Euros a person. It leaves every 1/2 hour. Hope that helps. Have a great time!

Considering the number of people involved it would not cost you extra to take a taxi compared to shuttles or buses. A taxi would be more comfortable and is door to door. When you go to the taxi stand there is someone there that can help you get a taxi that is large enough.

Actually, I think that the cheapest method for you, 5 people on a Sunday morning will be a taxi. You will find the taxi queue moves very quickly and I%26#39;d guess that at least 20%, if not 40% are minivans. You will be paying extra for the additional passeneger and there is a price per bag, but in th

e end I think there will be a large cost savings over a shuttle. Also, depending on the dialect, you may be in luck because many of the drivers from the airport are Chinese.

Can taxi drivers take 5 - allowing one is a child? I thought the law in France was that all passengers inc children had to wear seat belts?

Worth considering although I don%26#39;t know the answer as we always take the RER/Metro into Paris.

Some taxi drivers have mini vans here in Paris. At the airport they will assign the appropriately sized taxi.

Even allowing for the surcharge for the 4th %26amp; 5th passengers and their luggage, simply exiting you Arrival Terminal and goinf to the regular Taxi Stand out front will probably be your best bet. There are mini-van type taxis which will transport 5 adults and their luggage. You might have to wait a few minutes for one to become available, but the minimum cost for a shuttle service will be cost will 75-85 Euro whereas the taxi fare will probably average 65-75 Euro.

It would also be a good idea to have the EXACT name and address of your hotel written down on a slip of paer to hand to the driver...or better yet a print out of the LOCATION/ACCESS page from your hotel%26#39;s web site (which usually provide name, address and local street map).
