Clothes Shopping

I read a past post mentioning %26quot;used%26quot; clothing stores in Paris. Looking for one that%26#39;s trendy and sells both men and women%26#39;s clothing. Any addresses or at least names of such places?

The word to look for is Depot-Vente.

There is a series of them on the rue de la Pompe... try the TA search function, I have given out the addresses before.

Another (smaller) series is called Chercheminippes on the rue du Cherche Midi (between Raspail and Montparnasse). Like the rue de la Pompe, this is one store that is spread out up and down the block with a seperate boutique for men, housewares, kids, women and haute couture.

Phread, have you been to Mouto a Cinq Pattes? I%26#39;ve heard about it, but never been myself. Worth it for men%26#39;s wear?

Le Mouton a Cinque Pattes is really nothing to write home about, vraiment.

Looks like a garage sale!

Stuff I wouldn%26#39;t even wear when home alone!

Other than that, Rue Saint-Placide has some pretty good and not overly expensive shops (shoes, lingerie, etc.).

Gosh, my spelling today....

Make that %26#39;cinq%26#39;, bien sur. Mixing up all languages today. LOL

Reciproque has several shops on Rue de la Pompe. If you really want to make a find, you have to go back all the time or know the sales women, so that they put something away for you (like Hermes scarves or bags).
