Hilton Arc de Trioumphe Questions

Have searched the reviews and still have a few questions. Have booked the familiy suite in April (allegedly a King BR with a second queen BR for my teenager, with 2 bathrooms) and the rate is 450E/night with breakfast included. Here are my questions: What kind of internet access is there in the rooms and what is the approx cost?

There is a safe in the room, correct?

Hi!

I wanted to tell you that we are bringing our 3 kids to Paris in November and originally I was going to book the family suite at the Hilton Arc de Triumphe too for 400 Euros/night. Then I looked at the other Hilton in Paris by the Eiffel Tower and I got a much better deal. You get two rooms at the %26quot;get together%26quot; rate which means you pay full price for the first room and 1/2 price for the second room. We are paying( granted it is November) 145 Euro for the first room and 72.50 Euro for the 2nd room. The rates include tax and breakfast!!! I emailed Hilton customer service to make sure I got everything in writing because the discount is taken at check in, but it%26#39;s all true. Very good deal!

For that kind of money you could get a very nice apartment, have you considered that? That seems a lot for 2 bedrooms effectively

A few places to look...

also, even tho I fully enjoyed and was very comfortable at the Hilton Eiffel Tower on my last trip, are you aware that the one at the Arc d%26#39;Triomphe is BRAND NEW, and that the one at the Eiffel Tower is definitely showing signs of wear and tear? Now, don%26#39;t get me wrong, they definitely went out of their way to make us extremely comfortable, but I always say %26quot;new is NEW%26quot;

Sure, 450E is a lot, but the hotel charges 30E for the breakfast buffet, so the fact that breakfast is included is a plus. (Not that any breakfast could ever be worth 30E!) 2bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, really not a bad deal, for paris.

Checked out the Paris Hilton, and really the least expensive rooms for my dates in April are in the 250E range, so even with 50% off the second room (if that deal is available), there would not be any savings.

It is our first trip to Paris, one week on the ground, really do not have the guts to try an apartment. Want the benefits of a concierge, room service etc.

The Hilton ADT is a new property, or at least a new refurbish, so one would assume that there is some type of high speed internet, either via ethernet or wireless, in the rooms. Trying to decide whether or not to take laptop.

Hey RobertS975, when in April are you going? I will be there next week and I am coming back on the 11th, I could post the answer to your question if that is not too late.

|||

Robert - I%26#39;m glad you checked out the rate for the

%26quot;Get together promotion%26quot;, and it%26#39;s too bad that it%26#39;s 250 Euros/night for the first room. I guess that November is cheaper. Anyway - It%26#39;s true that the Hilton you are booked in is brand new and that%26#39;s exciting. I feel that 450 Euro for everybody including bfast is fair for Paris. Before I booked my %26quot;get together%26quot; rate I looked at a lot of hotels that were 2-3 stars and were charging 200-250 Euro/night/room and not including bfast. Anyway - have a great time!

I%26#39;m sure you and your family will have a wonderful first trip to Paris - you can check out the aparment idea for your *next* trip :o) It really is a good option for families with children of any age.

Not leaving till the 15th April, so a report in as great detail as you can muster on the Hilton ADT would be most welcome!

I think the Hilton ADT is actually a brand new from bottom up property....I remember seeing the construction crews when I was there. As far as the laptop, mine was invaluable to me, and I think I remember reading that they have ethernet in the rooms in the new one. If I recall correctly, no charge. You can probably check all this out on the Hilton Honors website...you do have a Hilton Honors account open already, right? Don%26#39;t miss the opportunity to collect the Hilton Honors points.....by collecting them on prior Hilton stays, it paid for my Hilton hotel stays in Paris and Sorrento both! re my internet connection at the Paris Hilton, I used dialup, and the concierge was incredibly helpful to get me hooked up right in the room. Each Hilton also has a business center if all else fails. re breakfast, you might want to try the pastries from LaDuree, on the Champs d%26#39;Elysee....we brought them back to the room, and then with coffee made from the inroom coffeemaker, we had instant breakfast. Of course, free is even better!

This Hilton website certainly states that the latest technology is available including high speed internet access. Looks like the property opened in May 2004, so I would be surprised if all the latest bells and whistles were not included.
