Cut and Paste

I am trying to put together a %26quot;guidebook%26quot; for our

upcoming trip. I%26#39;m not real %26quot;techno savvy%26quot; and am

having trouble trying to cut and paste multiple items.

I highlight and copy more than one item from the forum

and yet when I get to the %26quot;clipboard%26quot; only the last

item will appear. is there a shortcut and what am i

doing wrong? Thanks for all the help..

The clipboard only keeps your last item, unless you select all the items by holding the control key or shift key. Then hitting copy, this way all your items will go to the clipboard. When you paste, all the items will paste from clipboard.

I think that in order to COPY more than a single file to the CLIPBOARD, you must have an application program like M/S WORD (one of the programs in an Office suite) open and running---then your CLIPBOARD will usually Save up to last 12 COPY-ed files, which you can PASTE directly from the CLIPBOARD (in any sequence--as often as you like) into your OFFICE document. You can COPY to your CLIPBOARD either byClicking on COPY in the EDIT menu on the toolbar or by a %26#39;..Control + c..%26#39; keyboard shortcut. PASTING works either through PASTE from the EDIT menu or with a %26#39;..Control + v..%26#39; keyboard shortcut. If you are not also running an application program then the CLIPBOARD feature will only hold ONE (the last/most recent) file COPY-ed.

So, if you are going to skim through internet sites COPY-ing several files of material (whether single sentences or entire pages) as you come across them; you MUST also have an application program (WORD, EXCEL) that you intend COPY-ing it to later running at the same time to COPY several (more than just the last) files to your CLIPBOARD.

In the application program, to keep the CLIPBOARD toolbar on-screen so that you can see which COPY-ed files are in your CLIPBOARD---Right CLICK on the PASTE icon or VIEW icon on the Toolbar and then Left Click on CLIPBOARD. Once the CLIPBOARD window is shown, you can then Drag %26#39;n Drop it to a convenient place on the screen so that it doesn%26#39;t obstruct your document. To see what each item in the CLIPBOARD is, move your Cursor over the item and hold it there and a brief description of what the COPY-ed file contains will appear.

thanks for the input. I%26#39;ll follow your advice and hopefully

get it together! Once again, thanks.
